ABOUT

Miss Claire Sullivan

The brand, run and operated by Claire Sullivan, specializes in making custom garments for events and performances. She is known for using draping, sewing techniques, and crisp fabrics to create dramatic silhouettes that are feminine yet dark. I wanted to work with her because of her emphasis on textile manipulation, volume, and bold color usage + her evening wear strikes an impossible balance of elegance without preciousness.

my work

I assisted Claire with a variety of custom projects using a variety of skills including patterning Claire’s drapes, cutting patterns, sewing garments, and hand sewing finishes.

about

The Pouf skirt is a hero product for Miss Claire Sullivan. She had a client reach out to her to make a matching pouf for her 1 year old baby. I created a new pattern from the adult sized pattern and adjusted the waistband to have elastic.

I constructed a bodysuit for a music video. The construction included following tucks in the pattern, sewing together the facing and lining, and attaching an invisible zipper at the side seam.
